"I came that they may have life and have it abundantly"

Call into Ministry: At age 16, when he preached his first sermon on Youth Sunday at his home Church in Tyrone, PA he received God's call to ministry.

PASTOR JIM'S THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS - OCTOBER 2020

Greetings Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

I am writing to ask you to join me and pray for President Trump, Mrs. Trump, Hope Hicks and any other White House officials who may be infected by the coronavirus.

Below is the email I received this morning from our Bishop, Cynthia Moore-Koikoi. Our Bishop has asked all United Methodists in Western Pennsylvania to be in prayer for  President Trump, Mrs. Trump, Hope Hicks and any other White House officials who may be infected by the coronavirus.   I join our Bishop in asking you to please pause for a moment of prayer asking for God's healing power as soon as you receive this email and at 7:00 pm, every night until President Trump and Mrs. Trump are fully recovered.

Each Sunday in our Eldred United Methodist Church worship service we pray for the leaders of our government and governments around the world.  We pray for peace and healing in a world ravaged by pain and violence. We will continue to do so.

Finally, I am continually reminded of the words of Genesis 1:27, "So God created human beings in His own image. In the image of God He created them; male and female He created them." (New Living Translation).  These words remind me God created all human beings, so I invite us to be in prayer for all those individuals and families throughout the world who have been affected by the ravages of the COVID-19 pandemic.

I hope you are able to join us for our Worship Service this Sunday at 10:30 am as we praise God and pray for our President and Mrs. Trump to receive God's healing.

Blessings,

Pastor Jim
